Elections

The Board of Directors of the SCMA comprises twelve members, four of whom are elected each September for a three-year term. Board members may now run for reappointment for an unlimited number of terms. The election is by secret ballot of the SCMA membership at large and concludes at the annual meeting held on the last Saturday of September each year.

The only qualification for being placed on the ballot is that the individual is a fully subscribed SCMA member. There is only one vote per membership.

Interested members need to follow the criteria set by the By-laws of the Association.

Applications will be accepted between July 1st and August 15th, 2013. Applications received after the closing date will not be considered. If the number of candidates submitted exceeds the number of vacant positions then an election will be called commencing on August 30th, 2013 and run until September 29th, 2013. A ballot will be mailed to all members in good standing.

Ballots will be counted at the Annual Membership meeting held on September 29th, 2012 at 10:00am at the SCMA offices. Ballots may be delivered in person prior to the start of the meeting.

Applicants should include a short bio referencing past SCMA or NTIF volunteer work, specific interests (finance, concerts, membership etc.) and any other information that would be helpful to the voting membership.
